Global Medicine is an initiative of the International Federation of Medical Students' Association - The Netherlands. According to IFMSA-NL, the subject of global health is not enough enlightened in the curricula of medical studies. A magazine is an appropriate means to increase the interest in global health, especially the interest of medical students, the world's future doctors. That's why Global Medicine was raised in 2004.

The goal of this magazine

Global Medicine wants to alert medical students to their possible role in the improvement of global health; now as being a student, and in their future jobs being a doctor. This magazine is distributed free of charge on the 8 medical faculties in The Netherlands.

Global Medicine is an international magazine for medical students and is accessible through this website and in paper form in all medical faculties in the Netherlands, libraries in the UK, and soon in several other European countries as well. More than 10.000 people currently read the magazine each four months, so it's the ideal forum for you to share your ideas and experiences with an international community of medics.

Where to find this magazine

Global Medicine is available at all medical faculties in the Netherlands. You can find this magazine at your local IFMSA office, libary or magazine counter through the hospitals.
